Probe card manufacturing equipment
To bring probe card support in-house, the Compass test station gives you everything you need. Built for the maintenance, repair and build of blade and epoxy cantilever probe cards, it puts full capability directly in your facility.
How it works
The Compass enables technicians to align, planarize and replace probes with high precision. A 360° rotating 6" wafer vacuum chuck provides easy access to all probe card areas and locks in place for stable assembly. An integrated ohms tester checks contact resistance, while the built-in planarizer highlights active probe contacts to guide the planarisation process.
A probe card holder accommodating sizes from 4.5" to 10" ensures compatibility with a wide range of cards.

Blade probe card assembly
A specially designed gripper arm supports the full build of blade probe cards using Sandy-supplied needles. The arm mounts on either side of the station for left or right-handed working, holds the needle during positioning and soldering, and removes easily for planarisation access.
